Destiny

Behind a veil of silence, quietly she shies
What she could not say, he saw it in her eyes.
Bathed in his aura, she looked towards the skies
Stars twinkled up there, moon stood in his guise

Drenched in her fragrance his heart skipped a beat
But with her hand in his, the world  seemed so sweet
Unfazed by the winds, they marched into the horizon
Their love knew no cause, no occasion or reason

Far they walked and crossed the ocean
Deserts seemed paradise and love, devotion
On a cliff they stood and saw the sun set
He thanked God as winds played an octet

Hands were clutched but their feet were chained
East went an end, and West, the other end.

Blessed they are..... :-)

Beautiful. The poet in you is more touching than the writer :)

I dint understand the last line though.

Is it that they jumped off a cliff? The last line was confusing - needs elaboration.

@Anonymous: No, they didn't. The cliff and the sunset signify end, as in, the end of life.

Nice romantic poem. Liked it.

The ending was unclear to me even after your explanation - what does east and west signify? Why the poem is titled "Destiny"?
